During the winter season, English sparkling wine pioneers Ridgeview announces the opening of a new indoor restaurant, The Rows & Vine at The Winery.
With enthusiasm growing for English wine tourism, visitors to the Ridgeview Wine Estate during the winter months can now enjoy a bite to eat over a glass of Ridgeview’s finest sparkling wine as it opens the doors to its new restaurant The Rows & Vine at The Winery.
Nestled in the enchanting South Downs National Park, this new onsite dining room seating 40 guests is a total wine experience from vine to glass. With views of Ridgeview’s Chardonnay vines from one side of the restaurant and a glimpse into the winemaking process into the winery from the other, it is both unique and captivating. The Rows & Vine at The Winery is not just a dining destination; it’s a celebration of winemaking in motion.
Rows & Vine at The Winery’s winter warmer menu has been expertly curated by the esteemed Head Chef Neill Kefford, previously associated with celebrated establishments like London’s Pierre Victoire, the Tree House in Barnes, and Sirocco in Dubai. The restaurant’s small-plate inspired menu showcases the finest local produce from the succulent slow-cooked beef brisket to the rich and flavourful clam, fish & langoustine stew, and reflects a dedication to celebrating exceptional winemaking.
Following Ridgeview’s biggest harvest ever (30% more than their record harvest in 2018), and having welcomed over 23,000 visitors to the estate in 2023, the launch of the indoor restaurant is elevating the visitor experience event further by a year round dining experience alongside tastings and tours.
From Winter through to Spring (April), this elegant space will play host to gatherings of all kinds and during the summer months, it will transform into a large tasting room
Tamara Roberts, Ridgeview’s second-generation CEO, commented “Our philosophy is ‘Life is for Celebrating’ and we want guests to experience this in every aspect of our estate. We want to create a place where visitors feel welcome time and time again, whether to simply pop in for a glass, celebrate together with friends and family or to spend the day with us enjoying a tour and tasting too.”
The Rows & Vine at The Winery is open Thursday to Sunday, and only a 50 minute train journey from London, 30 minutes from Gatwick airport and by train from London, 30 minutes from Gatwick airport, and 20 minutes from Brighton – making it the perfect getaway without being too far away from home.
So why not banish the Winter blues, join Ridgeview in savouring the extraordinary, where each dish is an invitation to celebrate the art of winemaking and local abundance.
