An amazing underwater world will be revealed at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort this February Half-Term as the much-loved Deep Sea Adventure ride makes a splashing return.
Jenny Stock, British Underwater Photographer of the Year and the first woman ever to win the coveted award, joined aquarists at the submarine themed attraction to take the plunge and put the finishing touches to the major marine makeover.
Armed with a powerful underwater camera used on expeditions around the world, Jenny captured a dazzling display of immersive images ahead of the attraction resurfacing and showcased the under the sea themed LEGO models in a marine habitat.
Featuring hundreds of real-life creatures such as Squeak the zebra shark, Pablo the Blackchin Guitarfish and Homer, the Southern stingray who will call Deep Sea Adventure home, the attraction also boasts a collection of amazing LEGO® built creature displays including a giant octopus, brightly coloured crabs and a giant magical treasure chest.
Whilst submerged 3 metres underwater, Jenny photographed head aquarist, Rosie David, adding the finishing touches to the intricately designed models built out of 240,000 bricks and taking model makers 2,190 hours to create.
Jenny Stock, British Underwater Photographer of the Year 2024, said: “Growing up, I was always fascinated by underwater creatures and the incredible hidden worlds beneath the surface of the sea. I jumped at the chance to collaborate with LEGOLAND Windsor Resort on the resurfacing of Deep Sea Adventure as it perfectly aligns with my passion for marine life, creativity and my desire to share that wonder with others.
“The attraction provides a unique opportunity for kids and families to learn more about marine creatures and their environment in an engaging and interactive way, allowing them to experience creatures they might not have had a chance to see otherwise.”
Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing back the much-loved Deep Sea Adventure attraction, inviting explorers of all ages to embark on this incredible underwater journey.
“The attraction offers a unique blend of education and entertainment, allowing guests to dive deep into marine habitats and discover the wonders of the ocean—all from the comfort of a LEGO Submarine. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for a truly splash-tastic adventure filled with hidden treasures, fascinating sea creatures, and unforgettable memories.”
