One of five London boroughs to secure funding from the Civic Partnership Programme (CPP), Croydon is becoming a popular choice for hopeful buyers in the capital’s southeast.*

The CPP is a £12.85m grant-funding programme, £814,000 of which is going towards the regeneration of Surrey Street Market. More widely, the Delivering for Croydon programme is currently in swing – a £5.25 billion regeneration program that aims to develop Croydon town centre, improve infrastructure and more.**

Delivering affordable homes amidst all the action, housing association L&Q is offering a variety of two- and three-bedroom Shared Ownership homes at Addiscombe Oaks. Available in a range of different floor plans to suit any buyer, homes at this new development offer an opportunity to step onto the property ladder for young professionals and families alike. For those not quite ready to buy, L&Q is also offering a collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom London Living Rent apartments close by at L&Q at Queen’s Quarter.

Helping to further ease the financial pinch of moving, L&Q will pay for up to three-months rent for customers who reserve a two or three-bedroom home at Addiscombe Oaks before 30th November. Also on offer at the development, new residents will receive a 3-year free Zipcar membership and £60 driving credit, helping them to navigate the capital with ease.*

Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q comments, “Croydon is truly becoming a vibrant neighbourhood in the capital’s southeast. With its ongoing regeneration, excellent transport links, and growing sense of community, it’s no wonder that Croydon is attracting so much interest.”

“At Addiscombe Oaks, we’re thrilled to offer homes that make homeownership more accessible for young professionals and families, providing an ideal base for those who want to be a part of this dynamic area’s future.”

Inside homes at Addiscombe Oaks, kitchens equipped with fully integrated appliances, sleek cabinets and soft close doors form part of spacious, open-plan living areas. Bathrooms are both functional and stylish. Each apartment comes with at least one private balcony or terrace, perfect for extending living space outside, whilst residents also have access to a gated communal garden, which includes a children’s playground. Providing extra convenience and security, homes benefit from a video door entry system, and bicycle storage is available for every home.

Just a ten-minute walk from Croydon High Street, residents of Addiscombe Oaks can enjoy a range of nearby amenities, from independent bottle shops and popular restaurants to the trendy BOXPARK for street food, live music and more. For those looking for green spaces, Park Hill, Lloyd Park, Wandle Park, the Queen’s Gardens and South Norwood Country Park are all close by. Reopened in 2019, the iconic Fairfield Halls is south London’s largest arts centre and home to an impressive array of theatre, comedy and gigs.

For families, the area also offers access to several highly regarded primary and secondary schools, including Carew Academy, Chestnut Park Primary School, and the esteemed performing and creative arts school, The Brit School.

A stone’s throw from East Croydon Station, Addiscombe Oaks benefits from excellent transport links. One of the busiest public transport interchanges in the UK, East Croydon Station offers regular and speedy services into London Victoria and London Bridge, connecting locals to London Underground lines. Services to Gatwick Airport and Brighton also run frequently, whilst both tram and bus routes offer further connectivity across the capital and beyond

Shared Ownership prices at Addiscombe Oaks currently start from £107,500 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (full market value: £430,000).
