Texas based Sarah Ivette Morales makes for a compelling and inspiring interview.
She describes herself as “a novice author who took a leap of faith.”
After having worked nearly a decade and a half as a dedicated teacher, when her two daughters were born she made the decision to transition to life as a stay-at-home mother. But then something she never expected, happened.
As Sarah puts it, “Cancer was not on the agenda.”
Instead of despairing as so many others might have done, Morales took up the pen and started writing, turning her pain into a labor of love, determined to share hope with others who were also struggling, coping with the hard season in her life.
Ultimately, she not only survived the cancer – she also gained a strong renewal
of faith. “I always had a deep love for God, but in going through this, I would say I learned to fully surrender.”
Today, Sarah’s journey has now taken a new and exciting turn as she embarks on a
career as an author, using her experiences and insights to motivate and uplift others through her writing. “It all comes down to five things,” she says with a smile: “God, faith, family, friends, – and a positive attitude.”
Shoes of Peace on the Desert Road was published in 2024 by Christian Faith Publishing.
