ROCKING AROUND THE LEGO® CHRISTMAS TREE!

THE LEGOLAND® WINDSOR RESORT UNVEILS SPECTACULAR CENTREPIECE AHEAD OF A BRICK-TASTIC HOLIDAY SEASON

    • The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort unveils first-look images of its incredible 33ft tall Christmas tree built using 364,481 LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks, complete with a dazzling 80kg LEGO star
    • LEGOLAND at Christmas opens to the public on selected dates from November 23rd – January 4th

The festive season has officially arrived at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort after talented model makers at the UK’s favourite family theme park unveiled a spectacular Christmas tree built from 364,481 LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks.

Standing at almost 33ft tall, the ‘tree-mendous’ display is set to be the centrepiece of LEGOLAND®’s Christmas celebrations from 23rd November to 4th January and marks the start of the Resort’s transformation into a festive wonderland for families to enjoy.

Taking 2,909 hours to build in a secret workshop offsite, the tree is made completely out of LEGO and DUPLO bricks and is adorned with festoons of bauble and candle decorations. The pièce de résistance comes in the form of an 80kg dazzling LEGO star, made from an astounding 5,251 bricks.

“The giant DUPLO tree embodies the spirit of creativity and imagination that LEGOLAND is known for. The team have worked incredibly hard to assemble the tree, made from almost 350,000 Lego bricks and we can’t wait to see the joy it brings to our guests this Christmas” said Paula Laughton, Chief Model Maker at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

Earlier today, a team of expert model makers were seen using a crane to meticulously lift each section of the unique Christmas tree into position, before finally placing the LEGO star atop ready to bring festive cheer and wonder to guests of all ages.

LEGOLAND at Christmas promises to create unforgettable memories for the whole family and will feature a festive line-up of shows and entertainment to get everyone into the spirit of LEGO® building.

Guests can look forward to an exclusive Father Christmas Meet & Greet in his magical grotto, as well as joining Ollie the Dragon in “Ollie’s Christmas Chaos” as he helps the elves send letters to the North Pole. There will even be time to wave at Father Christmas on his Magical Sleigh ride around the park.

Tickets to LEGOLAND Windsor start from £29 per person, kids under 90cm go free. Short breaks start from £60 per person with a festive-themed short break package now available including an overnight stay in one of three immersive LEGO themed hotels, 1-day entry to LEGOLAND at Christmas and the option to add on a visit to see Father Christmas*.
