Origin Housing Launches Dace House: Affordable Shared Ownership Apartments in Colindale

Having provided affordable homes for 100 years, housing association Origin Housing, is committed to providing high-quality properties across London and the Home Counties. The organisation’s newest shared ownership development, Dace House, reflects their dedication to helping first-time buyers and families access affordable homeownership.

Dace House is situated in the vibrant suburb of Colindale, North West London. The development will provide 46 one- and two-bedroom shared ownership apartments. Origin Housing is set to launch Dace House for reservations from the end of September 2024.

Each apartment at Dace House has been designed with modern living in mind, featuring smart appliances, private balconies, and access to a landscaped courtyard garden. The development offers three distinct layouts, ensuring a variety of choices to meet different buyer preferences.

Located within Beaufort Park, a major regeneration area in North West London, Dace House combines historical significance and contemporary living. Set in an area steeped in history, the site is near the former Hendon Aerodrome, the world’s first airfield.

Dace House benefits from excellent transport links. Colindale Tube Station (Zone 4, Northern Line) is less than a mile away, providing convenient access to central London, including a 12-minute journey to Hampstead. National Rail services from Colindale offer seamless cross-country connectivity via Euston and King’s Cross St Pancras station. Additionally, a limited number of underground parking spaces are available for residents.

Simon Scott, Assistant Director, Commercial and Property Marketing, said: “We are proud to launch Dace House as part of our commitment to making homeownership more accessible for all. As Origin celebrates its centenary this year, our development in Colindale not only offers high-quality, affordable homes, but also reflects our dedication to establishing and maintaining flourishing communities across London and the Home Counties over the past 100 years.

“With modern amenities, excellent transport links, and a rich local history, Dace House is an exciting opportunity for those looking to step onto the property ladder in Colindale.”

Residents of Dace House will enjoy proximity to a wide range of local amenities. Beaufort Park itself features a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, with local farmers markets, supermarkets, gyms, libraries, a movie theatre, pubs and more, all within walking distance.

Prices at Dace House start from £98,750 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment (full market value: £395,000), and from £131,250 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (full market value: £525,000).
