The ibis London Earls Court Hotel has repositioned as a dual- branded property, remaining under the management of Accor. Following a multi-million- pound refurbishment over the past 2 years, it’ll be known as the Mercure and ibis London Earls Court hotel. The property boasts 226 ibis rooms and 282 Mercure rooms, merging two of Accor’s iconic brands into one sophisticated destination.
The property has opened in a phased approach, with a bespoke restaurant named Barnaby’s, meeting space by Mercure, along with 226 ibis entry level rooms and 144 Mercure rooms. 46 additional Mercure rooms will be completed by September this year, with project completion due in February 2025. At 12-storeys high, Mercure and ibis London Earls Court Hotel offers breathtaking views of the London skyline.
The Mercure rooms feature a ‘Layers of Time’ theme having been inspired by the iconic Tardis of Doctor Who, which stands in front of nearby Earl’s Court station. The rooms have superb quality, inspired by local culture with a minimalistic design. The ibis rooms feature a range of twins, doubles, and family rooms as well as interconnecting rooms to accommodate families. All of the spacious and comfortable bedrooms are en-suite and equipped with environmentally friendly air-cooling.
The property boasts versatile meeting spaces capable of accommodating up to 1,200 guests, making it ideal for conferences and social events. Additionally, the pillar-free Grand Ballroom, with a capacity for up to 800 guests, is perfect for hosting gala dinners and other evening functions. The hotel also offers five smaller rooms suitable for business meetings with capacity up to 50 guests. These modern meetings rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art technology along with the presence of abundant natural daylight. The stylish communal areas within the hotel have been thoughtfully designed to cater to both business and leisure guests.
The new food & beverage outlets named Barnaby’s, reinforces the properties ambition to become a premium destination for guests in the local area and beyond. Barnaby’s has been designed bespoke in collaboration with Paris Society. Central to the theme is the character of Barnaby, who has returned to London to enjoy his 60s at home after spending many years adventuring abroad and discovering the world. Barnaby embraces both the British pride and the international curiosity, so true to his home city which is reflected in both the restaurant and bar menus.
Barnaby’s Kitchen serves home dining with a twist, using overseas cooking methods and spices, and with seasonal produce at its heart. The menu features a variety of great classics of British cuisine as well as favourites from far away. Signature dishes will include Barnaby’s Chorizo Roll, Spiced Fish Pie and Limoncello Caprese. Meanwhile, the bar menu in Barnaby’s Lounge Bar will include classic cocktails from around the world intertwined
local touches.
