In a London where even the most exciting emerging artists and change-making creative industry workers struggle to make their creative practice viable The Daisy Green Collection, a group of 18 restaurants, bars, and cafes across London, have announced a permanent 20% discount on all food and drink for every artist, musician and creative industry worker in London with a new group-wide Culture Card.
The Culture Card aims to reward and thank London’s incredible creative community for their vital contributions to our lives and city. The Daisy Green Collection includes Larry’s an award-winning cocktail bar underground at the National Portrait Gallery and Darcie & May Green, two floating barges designed by Sir Peter Blake.
The Collection also includes Ziggy Green a David Bowie-inspired restaurant on Heddon Street in Soho where Bowie was photographed for the cover of his 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. After eating, diners can go downstairs at Ziggy Green to find Colony Room Green – a recreation of Soho’s notorious Colony Room club where from 1948 – 2008 culture-shifting club regulars Kate Moss, Joe Strummer, David Bowie, Damien Hirst, Francis Bacon, Daniel Craig, Jeff Koons and Dylan Thomas could be found pouring drinks behind the bar. Daisy Green reopened the Colony in 2023 as Colony Room Green – and even fixed drinks at the 2008 prices when the original club served last orders. Dick Bradsell, the club’s infamous head barman in the late 1990s was credited with creating the now-ubiquitous Espresso Martini cocktail for Kate Moss.
Other highlights in Daisy Green’s 18 locations include Holland Park Café, the collection’s largest restaurant Paradise Green in the City of London, and Peggy Jean at Riverside Green at the idyllic Richmond-upon-Thames Riverside.
Sir Peter Blake, Lucy Sparrow, Chris Levine, Oli Epp, Philip Colbert are just some of the artists Daisy Green has worked with and display in their venues. At Larry’s an exclusive portrait of a pre-fame Amy Winehouse by beloved photographer and personal friend of Amy’s Charles Moriarty is on display.
