On March 5th, The Ice Cream Alliance hosted its annual prestigious awards ceremony, a night to showcase the people behind the most loved ice cream flavours of the nation.
With over 80 years of history, this event is a highlight of the ice cream industry’s year, known for its rigorous judging process and the recognition of the highest standards and innovations in the ice cream sector.
The awards not only honoured classic ice cream flavours such as vanilla and chocolate, but also more niche categories like passionfruit and mango.
This year, the best supply house for mango was scooped up by Cremo Linea by Takeaway Supplies Ltd, solidifying its reputation as an industry leader in premium ice cream ingredients.
Reflecting on the win, Jonathan S Susca of Takeaway Supplies Ltd shared, “Winning the award means winning a lot, I take great pride in it. We’ve been to the supplier in the sector for a long time. We’ve won a few bronze medals and silver medals in the past, but this is our first gold. It shows that our product is being received in the right way by industry-leading people.”
